This is one of the harmonicas that the estate sent to Adam Gussow for appraisal. His notes are as follows: "Moderate wear. Comb is worn. 4 draw is a little sticky. Sounds and plays beautifully. Very good."

This is a harp that Sonny played extensively. It shows clear signs of wear on the top cover (bottom for Sonny). A little bit of dried up saliva in the comb. As we ponder the thought of owning a Sonny Terry Estate harmonica, part of the appeal has to be that as we listen to his music we will wonder, "Was the music I am listening to right now played on this very harp?" Of course, we have no way of knowing for sure but it stands to reason that the more play the harp received the stronger the possibility it appeared on one of his recordings. ÿ This is a great playing harmonica and is a treasure.

The harmonica will be shipped in an attractive shadow box display case, and will include an 8X10 glossy black and white photo of Sonny - suitable for framing. An individually signed Certificate of Authenticity and Bill of Sale will also be included.
