 This Marine Band 1896 shows all the obvious signs of significant use, plus, according to Blues Harmonica Guru and Historian Joe Filisko, it is Sonny’s favorite key – B.  The covers have a lovely patina from Sonny’s hands and lips.  The covers have been slightly crushed by Sonny’s powerful hands.  There is clear evidence of dried saliva inside the comb.  This is a harp that Sonny played long and hard.  A real gem.

In addition to the actual estate harmonica, all purchases will also include the following:

• A Certificate of Authenticity from the Sonny Terry Estate LLC.
• An attractive Shadow Box Display Case with a brief Biography of Sonny with which to display your estate harmonica.
• A stock black and white photo of either Sonny alone or Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee – suitable for framing. These photos were provided by Hohner and were the photos that Sonny might hand out at performances.   (Picture frame not included.)
