This Marine Band 1896 in the key of B, Sonny’s favorite key according to Joe Filisko, show definite signs of use.  The covers are tarnished from Sonny’s hands and lips.  The back of one cover is ever so slightly bowed.  There is dried up saliva in the front of the comb.  No question that Sonny played this harmonica a lot.  Based on Adam’s assessment, it is possible that this was one of the harps Sonny was gigging with toward the end of his playing career.

In addition to the actual estate harmonica, all purchases will also include the following:

• A Certificate of Authenticity from the Sonny Terry Estate LLC.
• An attractive Shadow Box Display Case with a brief Biography of Sonny with which to display your estate harmonica.
• A stock black and white photo of either Sonny alone or Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee – suitable for framing. These photos were provided by Hohner and were the photos that Sonny might hand out at performances.   (Picture frame not included.)
