Sonny Terry Estate Harmonica - Echo Super Vamper #8-9 Key of B

Blue Moon Harmonicas LLC

  • $ 69500

Item #8-9

Echo Super Vamper Key of B

Box Not Included

Price:  $695.00

This is a highly collectable harmonica. The estate only includes a handful of Super Vampers. The Echo Super Vamper is the UK equivalent of the Marine Band. It is identical except for the stamping on the top cover. It is easy to imagine how Sonny may have played this Super Vamper as he and Brownie toured in the 1950s, 60s and 70s popularizing blues music throughout Europe.

This a Classic Sonny Terry Estate harp. It has everything you could ask for. The covers are tarnished from his hands and lips.  There is lots of dried spit inside comb. The covers are slighty crushed at the back. Clearly this is one of Sonny's favorite harps in his favorite key.  If you are from the UK, have fond memories of the Super Vamper and you're a Sonny fan, this is a prize.

In addition to the actual estate harmonica, all purchases will also include the following:

  • A Certificate of Authenticity from the Sonny Terry Estate LLC.
  • An attractive Shadow Box Display Case with a brief Biography of Sonny with which to display your estate harmonica.
  • A stock black and white photo of either Sonny alone or Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee – suitable for framing. These photos were provided by Hohner and were the photos that Sonny might hand out at performances.   (Picture frame not included.)

The harmonica will be shipped in an attractive shadow box display case, and will include an 8X10 glossy black and white photo of Sonny - suitable for framing.. An individually signed Certificate of Authenticity and Bill of Sale will also be included.
