This is one of the harmonicas that the estate sent to Adam Gussow for appraisal. His notes are as follows: Heavy tarnishing. 9-blow out. 4-blow flat. Fair/poor.

There is no question that this beautiful Golden Melody was played extensively by Sonny. Joe Filisko told me that B was Sonny's favorite key. The covers are tarnished from Sonny's powerful hands and the back of the comb is startig to show wear from rubbing against the microphone. That it plays poorly now is further evidence that Sonny played this harp so much he just wore it out.

The harmonica will be shipped in an attractive shadow box display case, and will include an 8X10 glossy black and white photo of Sonny - suitable for framing. An individually signed Certificate of Authenticity and Bill of Sale will also be included.
