Marine Band Anodized Aluminum Combs
Blue Moon Aluminum Combs are CNC Milled from Aircraft Grade (6061) Aluminum. They are tumbled with ceramic polishing cones to remove burrs and then anodized to seal the aluminum. Anodizing is a process of adding a natural oxide layer on the metal which increases the corrosion and wear resistance. Anodized Aluminum is non-conductive, tasteless, and odorless.
Our Marine Band Combs are pre-drilled to fit the Marine Band Deluxe, the Marine Band Crossover and the low-tuned Marine Band Thunderbirds. However, they can also be used to up upgrade a Classic Marine Band 1896 from the stock pear wood comb to a new custom comb. The conversion will require some hardware and some know-how.
