Adam Gussow's Notes Read: "V. light wear. Slight wear on comb. 6 blow slightly flat. Plays nice. good/vg."
When Sonny found a harp he liked, it is obvious that he played it for a long time. The harmonicas in his collection range from new and unused to just plain worn out for use with crushed and tarnished covers. This harmonica could not pass for new. The paint on the front of the comb is worn on the low end of the harp, which takes time. The covers are still shiny but do show use. If the degree of wear on Sonny's harps ranged from 10 being the Most Worn and 1 being New and Unused, this harmonica would be a 3 or 4. If you were into buying and restoring vintage harmonicas, this one would be a pretty easy project. But of course, I wouldn't recommend restoring one of Sonny's harps. It would ruin the mystique.
The harmonica will be shipped in an attractive shadow box display case, and will include an 8X10 glossy black and white photo of Sonny - suitable for framing. An individually signed Certificate of Authenticity and Bill of Sale will also be included.
