Adam Gussow's Notes: "Heavy wear. Sonny played. 4 draw flat. Fair."
This harmonica shows significant signs of wear. The plating abve the 1-4 iscompletely warn off. Since Sonny played with the low notes on the right, this would have beencausedby his bottom lip. Unlike some of the other harps, the covers are not crushed at all. Adam is absolutely correct - the 4 draw is very flat. The "Fair" rating that Adam gives this harmonica has to do with the fact that it isout of tune. However, I would consider this a very collectible harmonica if what you are looking for is clear evidence that Sonny played this harp extensively.
This harmonica includes the original box.
The harmonica will be shipped in an attractive shadow box display case, a framed 8X10 glossy black and white photo of Sonny and an individually signed Certificate of Authenticity.
